1. Ordering

1.1. How do I create an account for ordering from ack-media?

When you try to make a purchase for the first time, you will be asked for registration details. You will need to fill in a form that asks you for some personal details as well as your billing and shipping address. Once you complete this form, your account is ready and you can start purchasing from ack-media.com.

1.2. How do I place an order on ack-media.com?

There are a few simple steps you need to follow to place your order in our online store. Browse the products available and select the product that you like. Add it to your shopping cart and continue shopping if you want to purchase more merchandise. When you have completed choosing what you wish to buy, you can review the items in the shopping cart. At this stage you can add or remove items that you do not want. Once you are satisfied, click on the 'checkout' button and proceed to make the payment.

1.3. What happens if I forget my login details or my password?

If you forget your log-in details, you can click on the 'Forgot your Password' link. This will ask you for your e-mail address. Submit your e-mail address and your password will be e-mailed to you immediately.

2. Shipping

2.1. How do you ship orders inside India?

There is only one mode of shipment available within India i.e. 'Courier'. Courier rates are defined by the weight of your package. If you are located outside India and want to ship to someone in India, the same 'Courier' rates for India will apply.

2.2. How will you ship outside India?

We use Airmail to ship your orders outside India. The shipping charges are as per the weight of your order and the destination.

2.3. Why have you discontinued sea mail?

We received many complaints that when we shipped overseas using sea mail, the customers often did not receive their orders. Or that the orders were extremely delayed. Therefore, we decided not to ship using sea mail. Air mail is faster and more reliable. We have tried to make air mail as economical as possible and have worked in a discount in the air mail rates that are displayed. In case you still wish to avail of the sea mail option, then write to our customer care executive at ackshop@ack-media.com.

2.4. How do you calculate the shipping rates?

The shipping rates for all orders are weight-based. The shipping rates will be displayed to you before you make your payment. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full kilogram.

2.5. How long will it take for my order to reach me?

For all shipments within India, the order will reach you within 5-8 days of receipt of payment. If your order has to be shipped outside India, it will reach within 25 days of receipt of payment.

3. Payment Options

3.1. What are the different payment options available?

You have an option to pay by cheque or credit card.

3.2. If I am located outside India, in what currency will I be making the payment using a credit card?

For customers located outside India (i.e., shipping address outside India), all credit card transactions will be processed in Rupees and converted to your local currency. Your accounts will be debited in your local currency automatically.

3.3. Can I pay for my order by cheque?

If you choose to pay by cheque, an invoice will appear and your order number will be displayed. Send us a cheque in the name of Amar Chitra Katha Pvt Ltd, payable in Indian Rupees in Mumbai. Please write your order number, name and email address on the reverse of the cheque before mailing it to:
